More than 6 months have passed since the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”) came into operation.
Globally we are seeing how Cyber Criminal Activities are rising and the property sector is not immune, whether you are an agent or landlord. Just think about the information which is processed and collected by means of mobile devices, analytics, QR codes and so forth.
South Africa is one of the countries that have seen a major increase in Cyber Attacks and Cyber Criminal Activities in the last couple of years.
That said, the MidCity Group has always taken pride in the Protection of Data – whether it is ours or our clients’. It’s a responsibility we take seriously and therefore have effective security measures in place.
